To breakdown the entire videos there are 17 key points to a successful presentation which are as below:
Set the theme
Make your theme clear and consistent
Create headline that sets the direction for your meeting
Open and close each section with a clear transition
Make it easy for your listeners to follow your story
Demonstrate enthusiasm
Wow your audience
Sell an experience
Make numbers and statistics meaningful
Analogies help connect the dots for your audience
Make it visual
Paint a simple picture that doesn’t overwhelm
Give them a show
Identify your memorable moment and build up to it
Rehearse rehearse rehearse
Spend the time to rehearse
Give your audience an added bonus to walk away with
In my upcoming presentation, I could take the example of setting my theme and making my theme clear and consistent as my topic can be quite general and broad. Through this also it would make it much more understandable for the audience and assist me in transitioning from one point to another. I also would like to provide experience to the audience using my medium. The medium will also help with the visual and paint the picture of the entire topic. By rehearsing over and over, this would also help me to make sure that I will deliver exactly on whatever information I have gathered throughout my entire time researching.
Q2: Who is your favorite speaker, why did you choose him/her?
I would choose one of my favorite speakers from my memory of watching a Ted Talk by Tony Fadell, CEO of Nest Labs and have also worked in Apple. This is because he would start off his sharing session with a relatable story to instantly pull in the audience into the topic. Along with that he also put common sense in his explanation and also his own personal experience, making it much easier to understand. His way of delivering his points are free and easy and also humorous.
